A teenager went missing after being caught with suspected shabu worth up to P4.08 million in Davao City.
According to Colonel Consolito Yecla, Commander of Task Force Davao, the suspect was driving a red car from Cotabato City to Nabunturan town, Davao de Oro, when he passed the AFP and PNP checkpoint in Sirawan.
However, he said the driver tried to avoid the checkpoint so the authorities became suspicious and inspected the car.
Here they seized five plastic bags and a small sachet containing suspected shabu.
The suspect was identified as a 19-year-old resident of Nabunturan.
The man will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
According to Task Force Davao, by 2020, up to 77 suspects will be arrested at checkpoints and anti-illegal drugs operations. It is estimated that they have confiscated more than P14 million worth of illegal drugs.
