CULASI, Antique - 7 people were hospitalized in Barangay Flores in this town on Tuesday after they allegedly put Zinc Phosphide or rat poison in their drinking water.
During the investigation by the Culasi police, it was reported at their station that someone allegedly put poison in the pipe connected to the spring water, which in turn was taken by the victims’ drinking water.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Culasi responded immediately and took the victims to the hospital after drinking poisoned water.
Authorities already have a person of interest in the said poisoning while the investigation into the motive of the crime continues.
The victims continue to be treated at the hospital after they feel unwell.
