70 passengers of the stranded boat in Surigao del Norte, were rescued

Staff of the Philippine Coast Guard Station in Siargao rescued 70 passengers aboard a motorized boat that ran aground at sea in Barangay Cambas-ac in Dapa town, Surigao del Norte, Wednesday morning.

Based on the report, the engine exhaust pipe of M/V Vince Gabriel III was damaged causing intense smoke inside the vessel.

According to Ensign Roden Aloc, officer-in-charge of the Coast Guard station in Siargao, the MV Vince Gabriel III was on its way to Surigao City when its exhaust pipe broke.

They immediately pulled it back to Dapa Port.
